1. Why would you have tv on when you have lots of kids over? 2. Do you only follow-through on discipline when its convenient? [ Reply | More ]

np: It's not about convenience - it's about ruining the day for the guests (regardless of what the punishment is). [ Reply | More ]

^^To OP - I recommend a British children's book called "Bad News! I'm in Charge" for DS. Really illustrates the feelings kids this age have. [ Reply | More ]

I hear ya' ... 6 is a hard year, imo. My 6 yo ds has become this defiant brat - thinking he's in charge all the time. If you think you're gonna need the kids at your event tomorrow to chill with some TV time, can't you take something else away from your ds? [ Reply | More ]

^^^I'm old school when it comes not putting up with crap from kids. My dd is 8yr and 4yr. If my 8yr old answers back and gets nasty, her nintendo DS is taken away. [ Reply | More ]

Curious - what did the babysitter do? Please say she did not let him watch the rest of the game. Anyway, there should be no doubt that he loses TV, entertaining or not -- specifically and at the very least the next several Yankee's games. If there are lots of kids over they don't need the TV on.
