Sleeping baby is best. Sorry, DH, but you will be glad not to be driving with a squalling baby in the car. If he insists on day driving, YOU drive and he entertains the baby. You'll night drive from then on, I promise. [ Reply | More ]

We never had any trouble. Would leave around 9am, DB would take nap at around 11am, then we'd stop for lunch and then we'd get there by 3. He had some toys, we'd play music. [ Reply | More ]

It depends on the baby, obviously. We just gave him a bottle if he got a little fussy. [ Reply | More ]

honestly, leave early -- dh is right. if you drive late at night db will be well rested but you will be exhausted the next day. in our experience kids adapt -- and you can make stops. [ Reply | More ]
