freaking out a little. dh took 8 week old dd to visit his parents and they have a yappy little dog and don't understand why we ask them to wash their hands before holding the baby. DH says he spoke to them about the dog (who has a history of lunging at our nephew when he was a newborn. anyway). so trying to enjoy the few hours of alone time but freaking out a little anyway. I know, I know. I just don't like his parents' attitude towards the whole dog and hand washing thing. his mother rolls her eyes at me when I ask her to wash her hands. Then she got in my face about how the dog will have to meet the baby. Does it have to be when she's so LITTLE? I mean, come on, there's time for all of this. I told dd to spit up in my fil's face when he lifts her up over his head ;-) [ Reply | More ]

It probably will all be fine but I'd be annoyed too. Telling dc to spit up on FIL should be retribution enough ;) [ Reply | More ]

LOL. But really, my DBs LOVED being lifted up over people's heads! The dog would bug me though. [ Reply | More ]

Newborns are more resilient than we realize. Your DH will do the right thing. [ Reply | More ]
