I wonder what will happen to non G&T schools' test scores when their good test takers apply out to schools with G&Ts. Not that test scores are everything, but that's how schools are judged these days. Which means the G&T schools will have windfalls in this respect. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

That's not going to make a big difference. If you have a DC at a school like 199 the only G&T would you leave 199 for would be Anderson (otherwise you can wait 1-2 years and just go to Delta)..No way a DC with 4s will apply out to a low-tier G&T like 163 or 166 [ Reply | More

there you go again bashing all g&ts but 9--I myself left a good zoned school (87) for a "lesser" g&t (166) and I know plenty more who did the same. Overcrowding or 7 Ks is more of a turnoff to many of us. (I don't want my kid to skip one "special" each year because they don't have enough space to accommodate all kids [ Reply | More

I wish the DOE should start breaking the numbers out so it's possible to compare scores for general ed and G&T in schools with both programs. [ Reply | More

some of these kids will not test well down the road, and others will improve. know some kids at our gen ed who re tested for g&t, and did much worse this time. others did better. [ Reply | More
