set a routine. At the end do something he likes - read a book, snuggle whatever. If he doesn't follow the routine, tell him you are going to take away the fun last part. You will have to do it consistently but he will get the message. Oh, and he will test you on it every once in awhile. [ Reply | More

we have a routine, i guess like OR says below I have to just let him have the tantrum. everytime he comes out I should just bring him back up. he shares a room with his younger sibling so it just complivates things. i thin i need to finally separate them [ Reply | More
