I think one of the most impressive Math/ELA stats is for PS150. It is a very small lottery school and even one low scorer could bring down the average, yet it had more 3/4s than some of the big, desirable Gen Eds. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

yes and no. as i misposted before, it's a lottery among wealthy tribeca dcs who are afforded lots of enrichment. (only 2 dcs per class are from outside the neighborhood, and they are also from d2, which has some of the highest scorers in the city.) so, good for a small school but totally expected for the neighborhood. the lottery really has nothing to do with it. ITDA. I know of people getting spots outside of the neighborhood (although still D2). The lottery is legit. [ Reply | More ]

not sure how random their "lottery" is. we know people who had spots there before lotteries had been held in past few years. [ Reply | More ]

Has it always been lottery? It wasn't an application school previously? [ Reply | More ]
