dh is just like his dad, was never like that. now he makes me miserable, i hate him, im tired of crying every day. i want to lave with my dc today, but where can i go? i want to leave for 4-5 days at least. any ideas? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

if she feels she is being emotionally abused, it sounds like abuse. in any case, marital problems (whether abusive or not) are not easy to talk about. maybe you have a really great network of supportive girlfriends or family members, but not everyone does. [ Reply | More

is he emotionally abusive? physically? do you have at least one friend or a sibling you can talk to? (i was in similar place last year, b/c dh emotionally abusive and it took a violent turn. i took dd to stay with my parents for a few days, so i could have some time/space to think and sort things out...) that's not good. you need to be able to talk with someone about this, so you don't feel alone. i've been there, too, and things are better now, but i lived through some very dark moments when i felt really sad, abused, and alone. it's NOT ok that he makes you feel emotionally abused. (i also couldn't really talk with family/friends about this, but did go to a therapist, which helped.) [ Reply | More
