I finally made the decision to lose 15lbs with healthy eating, plenty of water and exercise. Cut cals in half from 2500+/day, drinking 8-10 glasses of water (used to be zero!), and running 45min/day. It's been just over 2 weeks and the weight doesn't seem to be coming off...yet. How long til I hit my goal if I keep this up? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Depends -- what is your height and weight right now? If you are at a comfortable ht/wt for your bod, may take longer to come off. [ Reply | More ]

I'm 5'4" and b/w 130-135. I was able to get down to 127 before my wedding, but otherwise have been at this weight no matter what my eating/exercising habits for about 10 years now. I think sometimes, you'll just stick at the weight your body wants to be. But you are getting healthier and more toned -- maybe focus on that instead of the # on the scale. [ Reply | More ]

do you think it matters that this is the heaviest i've ever been (non-pregnant weight)? prior to dc, i was consistently 110-115. how about you? [ Reply | More ]

My db is only 20 months. I got to 130 lbs after I started working when I was 25 (lawyer) and have been that weight ever since. [ Reply | More ]

i know nothing about this sort of stuff, but my guess is that usually when people start to diet and exercise they lose a quick 5lbs of water weight. You have started drinking water for the first time, so this did not happen for you. So just keep at it. I am just shocked that you were consuming 2500+ of calories a day. [ Reply | More ]

i thought the opposite would happen with the water weight, since i wasn't drinking any before? anyhow, yea, lots of cals before. i was shocked too when i calculated it on thedailyplate.com -- but 1-2 cokes a day and fast food can do that easily. [ Reply | More ]
