My 19 mo ds has pdd-nos, apraxia, & motor dyspraxia. Anyone have any advice about therapy? we are using early intervention & getting aba therapy, speech & ot- but not enoough. we need to go privately as well. will it be too much for him? anyone have any luck with the diet or vitamins? we are trying it all. thanks for responding! yes, I have gotten their opinion, too but everyone seems to have different advice & it is confusing. I think I need to hear from parents with real life stories to help me. I have been thrown intensive therapy, restricted diet/ vitamin supplements that I am trying to sneak into my ds! It really is overwhelming. [ Reply | More ]

starting next week. early intervention can't give me a prompt speech therapist so I am doing that privately. it is a fortune and not covered by insurance. how do people pay for all of this therapy? [ Reply | More ]

are you in NYC? If so, try Hospital for Special surgery on 70th and york. they provide EI services. at least a few of the therapists there do prompt st. it's possible that they aren't certified b/c from what I remember ours saying it takes a ton of training. [ Reply | More ]

Making Milestones also have PROMPT trained speech therapists and also take EI. They also have OT and PT. I highly recommend them. My child attends services there and I they are great [ Reply | More ]
