What are the good schools in the village? I'm beginning my research on where to move and don't know where to start. Also, was there some sort of controversy with the west village schools this year and what was it? I have that in the back of my mind that I might have read a message regarding this topic. Thanks. The public schools are PS 3 and PS 41. Check insideschools.org for more info. This year, there was a lottery used to assign families to each rather than letting them choose, as was the case in the past. This was somewhat controversial. As for private schools, VCS, St. Luke's and LREI are all in the West Village. FYI in five years or so there will no doubt be a couple more public K-5 schools in the neighborhood. [ Reply | More
