For those of you whoe were induced, did you wind up needing a c-section? I've yet to find anyone who's been induced and had a vaginal birth. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Was close. Long labor then 3hrs of pushing ending with a vacuum extraction. Was my last chance before it went to a c-s. Would not recommend inductions unless absolutely necessary. [ Reply | More

I think it depends on when and how the induction occurs. If you're trying Pitocin, request that they do not break your bag of waters until labor really gets going, as you're committed to the birth once that happens. If no change during induction and you're medically stable, as if you can go home and try again a different day. It's important to tune in to whether your body is ready to birth the baby. induced. vaginal birth. only 2nd deg tear but complications occurred after with tear so will likely do a c if next time. sometimes, really, inductions speed things up more than they should be, but sometimes they don't. [ Reply | More
