friend of friend gave birth to multiples (3). The twins were born with only 1 kidney ea. How common is this? Does anyone know what challenges they will face growing up? thanks [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

you can live a normal life with one kidney-- dd had some problems with one, and it all turned out fine, but ped told us that one kidney, though not ideal, is not a catastrophe [ Reply | More ]

you really only need one kidney. the second one is sort of like a spare. if nothing happens to the one, then no challenges. [ Reply | More ]
