Anyone's dc ever have a strict, somewhat mean teacher? 5 y.o. will have one next year, and I'm concerned he'll end up hating school. Any advice? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Are you in a position where you can volunteer during school hours? It might not be a bad idea to try and be in the school, if possible. [ Reply | More ]

Yes, but there's not really any opportunity to be in the classroom. I'm most concerned about him being scolded for making an innocent mistake, which this teacher has been known to do in the past. Are there ways I can help him not be bothered by a teacher's criticism when he knows he's doing his best? Are 5 y.o.s even capable of not automatically taking an adult's comments as truth? Thank you for the suggestion. [ Reply | More ]
