If you have 1 dc in school for half-days 5 days/week, do you pay your nanny (who's watching one other dc) the rate for 2 children for the entire day? What's typical in NYC? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I think if it's your existing nanny that you were alrady paying for 2 dc, then yes. if you are hiring a new nanny, then you might be able to offer at the low end of the 2 child range since 1 will be in school. fwiw, school should be at least 15 hrs/wk though, otherwise, she really has 2 dcs ft.
