OPK question. Once you detect the surge, this indicates that ovulation will occur within the next 24 hours or 24 hours after the surge is detected? For example, if the surge is detected at 7 am, will I ovul. within that next 24 hours (so by 7 am tomorrow) or does it mean 24 hours after the surge (so I will ovulate tomorrow morning sometime). Totally confused. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

"The urinary LH spike occurs about 24-36 hours prior to ovulation" but if you're only testing once every 24 hours, then it you have no idea if it spiked right after you took the test the day before.... [ Reply | More ]

they are not great indicators of when to have sex if you're not having much sex. They really only help you to know when you can stop having sex (a day or two after the test). [ Reply | More ]
