if i do the elliptical everyday for 30-40 minutes + some weight machines and maybe uphill walking treadmill, do you think i coulg reach my goal of losing 20-30 pounds? eating healthy, working out, but after 2 weeks i always get so frustrated if i dont see huge improvement because i lack patience [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I hope it's not too late to reply. I'm the 30 pound weight loss-er. Here's how I did it. I bought the Michael Pollan book about eating local foods. I watched "I Can Make You Thin" on the Discovery Channel, and I started working out 5 days a week. There's a lot to follow, but it's really simple: Eat when you're hungry, eat what you want, stop when you think you may be full. And then you should eat REAL food, not too much, and mostly plants. i tried weightwatchers for a about three months, but it was hard for me to get back tot he computer everytime i ate - it did help me control what i ate though which has been helpful - i eat much better now [ Reply | More ]

it is easy to lose weight. it is hard to keep it off. your body has a natural weight and it always goes back to it. I think your goal should be to be healthy at your body's healthy weight. I am guessing this does not mean 20-30 pounds below what you are now. [ Reply | More ]
