Need SLEEP help...dd is 5 months old and doesn't sleep well. She has been sleeping in our room, but I know she needs to be sleeping in her room...I don't want a 10 year old sleeping with dh and me. What worked for you and at what age? TIA [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

All my kids slept with me at 5 mos and all are now out (youngest is 4). I did what I needed to get sleep. Gradually moved them out, sat nearby, only CIO'd for few mins at a time (then went back in to soothe, remind I was there, and left again). Try No Cry Sleep Solution by Elizabeth Pantley (sp?). I have read the no cry sleep solution and like it...the problem is she does great until about 4am and will only go to sleep in our bed after that! DH and I are ok with it now, but I am concerned long term. I wish she wasn't growing so fast... [ Reply | More

That was us. We let it go and kept the kids in the bed but either way there are some tears at some point. But I still wouldn't give up those cuddly memories---no regrets at all. [ Reply | More

at about four months I just bit the bullet and put him in his own room - he was still waking to be fed so had plenty of attention when I went in to breastfeed - not sure he even noticed the move [ Reply | More
