looking for someone bilingual. plus, less expensive and getting more hours and more responsibility. [ Reply | More ]

It blows my mind when people cheap out on the person who TAKES CARE OF THEIR CHILD. That is just irresponsible. [ Reply | More ]

it blows my mind when people make sweeping generalizations without knowing the facts. not that i need to defend myself, but at the new rates, i am still paying WAY above manhattan standards, with paid vacations and holidays for a part-time nanny. [ Reply | More ]

over $15 an hour for a 1.5 year old that takes a 3 hour nap, doesn't cook and doesn't give baths, paid vacations and holidays for 3 days a week. i think that's fairly generous. [ Reply | More ]

do you mind if the nanny is grumpy, sleep-deprived, and has to brink her own DC too ? I may be game ! [ Reply | More ]

i think that you just tell nanny that the situation no longer meets your needs and that you will have to let her go. if ds is attached to her, definitely let them say good bye. i don't think new nanny relationship will be that hard. [ Reply | More ]

after doing some research and talking to people, i think i will give her 1.5 wks notice and severance. some people think i am taking a risk by not dismissing her that day, but i think i trust her. i am nauseous and choked up thinking about it. [ Reply | More ]
