Has anyone been prescribed Ambien while pregnant? I just got it from my Doctor because I haven't slept in days/weeks and it's been tough getting up for work and being productive. I'm just kind of nervous about it, but on the flip side I almost got T-Boned when I ran a redlight by accident the other day because I'm so tired and have a hard time concentrating. did you try benadryl first? I was given ambien when I was in the hospital being induced, didn't seem like a big deal, but if something over the counter works I would try that first. [ Reply | More ]

Yeah, I tried the Benadryl and Tylenol Pm (same ingredients) but they really don't do it for me, they do make me tired but won't put me to sleep. thanks for your response. [ Reply | More ]

I wouldn't worry about the ambien then. You need to sleep! [ Reply | More ]

OB prescribed it for me, it's safe for pregnancy. (I had those crazy side effects, though - DH found me trying to get out of the apt!) [ Reply | More ]

I took it. The risks associated with taking ambien while pg are small compared to the risks associated with sleep deprivation. [ Reply | More ]
