Anyone used cabbage leaves to successfully relieve engorgement? Also - is there any issue w/ using cabbage leaves to relieve engorgement yet continuing to breastfeed? (obviously removing the leaf when the baby is actually breastfeeding...) [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Cabbage leaves work great. They don't interfere at all with breastfeeding. And you only need them for a day or two -- that's how long engorgement lasts when your milk comes in. [ Reply | More ]

if you can stand the smell, try them. if not, baggies full of frozen peas work fine, since it's the cold pack you want. gl [ Reply | More ]
