Anyone have experience with hand-foot-mouth disease? SIL and her dc have it, BIL no symptoms. BIL wants to visit us this weekend. He says if he has no symptoms he's immune. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Most adults are immune. Is anyone in your family vulnerable? Pregnant? Weakened immune system? A very young baby? If so, then no thanks BIL. If not, then a visit is probably fine. [ Reply | More ]

Oooh, that's tough. It's a very unpleasant disease that causes blisters in the mouth. Any chance BIL can reschedule without hard feelings? [ Reply | More ]

Unfortunately, he already feels like I have something against him, so I'm sure this will feed right into it. AND he's flying cross country for the visit. Yikes. [ Reply | More ]

sorry Charlie. Long flight or not I wouldn't take the chance and I am not a germophobe. Blisters, the fact that it's so contagious ? Not gonna happen. [ Reply | More ]
