We did. I had a very complicated pregnancy, and nearly died after delivery. DH did not want to risk it again. I wouldn't say that I won, but I discussed with high-risk OBs what could be done differently to lower my risks - and we found a doctor who was confident he could avoid the worst of the delivery risks. a former colleague of mine wanted none, but her husband wanted kids, so they "compromised" at one. Then he wanted more, she said no, and he had an affair with a married mom in their building, got her pg, and divorced my colleague to be with the other woman (who divorced her dh). pathetic.
