I have an older dc, and now a new baby. Baby is 3 months, so we're still in the thick of it. I've done this before, so WHY do I feel like we will be stuck in baby-phase forever?? Why don't I have the perspective that baby will also grow up and outgrow the crying and sleep issues? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

because you are very tired and had romanticized the babyhood of your first dc, which is how it was possible for you--or anyone--to have a 2nd. Hang in there! [ Reply | More ]

I suppose! Though I know that dc #1 was very difficult, and we got through it. But I still can't see it now. Will I ever get perspective? Sigh. [ Reply | More ]

I agree. We also forget how "fun" L&D were, which lets us be ok with doing it again. Hang in there, OP. This too shall pass. Just keep looking at your first dc and remember you've gotten through this before. GL. [ Reply | More ]
