Potty training q's: My 2.3 yo DS is doing really well with this. He's peeing the potty and out in underwear all day, diapers only for naps/night. So, a few questions: 1) how do I get him to poop in the potty, too and 2) when do they learn to hold it? Right now he can easily pee 2-3 in a few hours. Any tips/experience appreciated. he will "learn to hold it" when he is ready. he will want to poop in the toilet when he wants, not when you want. not that difficult. you don't get golden stars for early training. [ Reply | More

Talk about pooping on the potty, read books about it, flush the poop from the diaper. My ds loves "Everybody Poops" [ Reply | More

I heard they can hold it after 2, and it takes a little while for them to learn the concept, but is he's in underwear, he will learn through his accidents. I think you're right on to train him in terms of age and these are normal questions. [ Reply | More
