Have 2 rd olf ds, had him at 25. b/c I have time, and b/c dh has a great relationship with his sister who's 7 yrs younger, we have decided to try for another when ds goes to kindergarden. Emotionally, I want to start trying now, but we are stuck in a tiny condo we bought at the top of the market and I am in the 1st year of my own business. Still, I feel like no one waits that long and we both definitely want a 2nd dc. Any advice? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

don't do it now jsut because no one else waits that long. but if you really want the baby now, do it now. mine are 2.5 years apart partly because that's waht people do and i wish i'd waited a bit longer. [ Reply | More

yes, a lot of work and i just wasn't really ready. dh was eager to have #2 (he's almost 7 years older than me) and i went along with it and got pg right away. dd #1 is having a hard time with it and i often wonder if it would have been easier if i'd waited... of course, you never know, could have been harder. My dh is 6.5 years older! And he was like that w/ #1 and it took some growing for me to enjoy motherhood. I am enjoying ds so much now that I am starting to reconsider my choices. [ Reply | More

i was enjoying it a lot, too but now that dd is having a hard time it is very hard on me. also, it was finally getting easier and now its not again... both with the toddler and of course, with the sleep-deprivation, etc. of havnig an infant. [ Reply | More
