yes, its hard to separate out the "three-ness" from the new baby jealousy/mommy back to work reaction. whatever it is, it can't end soon enough! its both driving me crazy (the yelling, the tantrums) and breaking my heart ("don't go to work mommy," "i don't want to share you" etc.) [ Reply | More ]

ahh the joys of motherhood! probably a combintaion of a new sibling and mom back to work, I am sure it will fade eventually. maybe some one on one time (icecream outing etc.) [ Reply | More ]

compassion helps with patience. try to remember that your 3 y/o's entire world has changed forever due to new baby and now, again, due to your return to work. that's a lot of loss for a young child to process. [ Reply | More ]

make an unbreakable mommy date with older dc. A class, then a snack or read a story...just you two, not at home where db takes away attention...really focused "big kid" time. [ Reply | More ]

we do this a lot - i take her out for breakfast at a diner, to a kids' concert at a local bookstore, etc. i assume its helping - i don't want to imagine what she'd be like without it - but its still just awful. [ Reply | More ]
