My OB told me today that a woman planning a homebirth stalled for 10 hours at 8cm dilated. I cannot imagine going through transition for 10 hours. She ended up having a c/s. I felt so bad for her! [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

You shouldn't assume it was really transition - I got to 8cm without the baby getting below a -2 station (he was caught up in his cord, couldn't drop). [ Reply | More

Yes, but just like with any mom, it is what it is - I think a lot of pregnancies and deliveries don't go as planned. [ Reply | More
