My wonderful dh takes the kids to the playground almost every night after work. Also almost every night, this involves a 5-10-minute routine with cajoling our 3 yo dd into getting her shirt and shorts on (which she can totally do by herself if she wants to). I.e., instead of getting ready to go, she races back and forth through the apartment with great excitement, etc., ignoring our requests to put on her clothes. Dh has only left without her once, after it really had gotten ridiculous, but we're wondering if we should just institute a zero-tolerance policy here. What do you think? Is that too harsh for a 3 yo? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

just dress her yourself and get ot the door with no hassle. You knwo she is capable, so why insist that she do it when you are in a hurry. [ Reply | More ]
