Help with 6 yo dd birthday party ideas. We moved to the outta boros so we have a small backyard. Planning a late afternoon fling. She doesn't want entertainment. Her words magicians are boring and clowns are for babies. But I know with her 23 long invite list (+ some parents) I'll need someone to help me. Should I just hire a sitter for the whole time to distract/entertain? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

You need more than a helper with 23 6yos! What kind of activities do you have planned? [ Reply | More ]

For me, lots of drinking. Honestly since we've moved here we've had many impromptue bbqs, etc. It's pretty much a free for all play time for the kids. But that’s usually 6 at most. We’re a laid back crowd. But 23 is many, maybe bring out the kiddie pool. If I have help give them activities to keep the kids entertained. Any ideas would be helpful? [ Reply | More ]

How small is small? Could you buy a slip and slide? I passed a party the other day that had this thing that blew up like a moon bounce but was a water slide... it was pretty cool. [ Reply | More ]

Too small for s&s, they might go crashing into the fence. Also, if it rains we'll all be inside so I don't want to focus on water activities, but mighte put up our small pool. [ Reply | More ]

another thing that would be cool but not too expensive, would be to get a bunch of different bubble makers... that would go well with kiddy pool. [ Reply | More ]

But I don't want to burden them w/this. They always have their entertainment. Maybe I need one sitter and a housekeeper? [ Reply | More ]
