not a mark against you, but they will count your potential income as part of your actual income... i think they tack on 50k for sahm [ Reply | More

I suddenly feel very poor...people making $300K think they need financial aid? Wow. I wonder how the rest of us manage to eat, buy clothes, and pay rent on our pitiful salaries...look, if I can live just fine on $85K without private school, you should be able to pay for private school and still be bringing home over three times what I do. on the other hand, it will be harder for dc to be accepted if fa is requested. much easier to get placed if tuition isn't an issue. so, imho, the dc who actually get in with fa are really, really wanted by the school [ Reply | More

people who make 300k want financial aid so that they can maintain their lifestyle and not have to make any sacrifices. this is the group that gets hit for tuition. not at all defending or, but under 200k gets fa, those with tons of income dont feel the tuition payment that much... the 300k families are the ones who need to give up vacations, summer homes, etc (sob) [ Reply | More
