Chinatown of course. I also used to get it at Wholesale Liquidators on Bway (but that was about 100 years ago). [ Reply | More ]

I think that chalk has Boric Acid in it (?). It was something like that at least. I think you can sprinkle some of that around, out of reach of the kids, and you can kill some of the roaches. [ Reply | More ]

Correction, the active ingredient is.....deltamethrin, not Boric Acid. Sorry. [ Reply | More ]

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, please do tell. What is it and where do it get it. Is it harmful to small children and pets? Because that is the stuff I'm looking for! [ Reply | More ]

You can get it anywhere they sell garden stuff. I wouldn't want a kid to eat large quantities, but it is perfectly safe. It's made out of some sort of fossil. Gardeners use it in the garden to kill all sorts of things. Google it, but I think it is exactly what you want. [ Reply | More ]

Do you think it will kill carpet beetles? I know chinese chalk will. It kills small animals. [ Reply | More ]

It kills other types of beetles, so I imagine so. It will not kill small animals though... [ Reply | More ]

ummm I just looked up chinese chalk, and I doubt you really want it around kids... "It has the same appearance as safe chalk used in classrooms, but contains deltamethrin and/or cypermethrin, dangerous pesticides that are illegal in the United States. Both pesticides are known to affect the nervous system." [ Reply | More ]

if our lovely FDA thinks it's bad stuff, I really would stay away, they only deny the worst pesticides. It's amazing what they still allow on the market. [ Reply | More ]

Are you planning on traveling to Mexico soon? I've often brought back (yes illegally) certain items that aren't avail in the US when we go on vacation. Or see if someone else going abroad would be willing to do this. [ Reply | More ]

I do have someone who travels back and forth! Good idea, I'll ask. Wonder what the penalty for smuggling pesticides is. [ Reply | More ]
