Dumb question, sorry.... My dad will be watching db for a few days, but he doesn't have a carseat base. Is it safe to just seatbelt in the carseat w/o it's base? I suppose yes, but I have never done this before. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I have a Baby Trend, and there is a (quite confusing) illustration on the side that shows how to seatbelt the carseat in.... but I'm just wondering if anyone has done this. we had the graco snugride, and it came with instructions for use both with and without the base. we used it without (which is said to be safer anyway) b/c the base wouldn't fit in our car. [ Reply | More

it's fine - there should be a sticker right on the side of the seat that shows you how to thread the seatbelt. [ Reply | More
