need name help. love the name Olmo for ds (old italian name that means "elm tree"...and a great character in Bertolucci's epic film "1900"), but not sure if it's a name that will work here. dh is italian, and the name is fine in europe, but how does it sound to american ears? thanks for the replies. darn, that's what i was afraid of. but i wonder, there are so many Oscars (same name as the grouch) and also a lot of Zoeys (also popular from sesame street). they seem to have no problems w/ sesame street associations. would it be a problem to have a name that was similar (not the same as) Elmo? Elmo is more of a Zeitgeist character. Maybe because of the toys? Oscar and Zoey just don't have the same Sesame Street cachet.
