WWYD? DDs had guest boy over this weekend, and today we found that he had peed in their wastebasket. He made a mess of it, too, peeing on the floor and probably getting some on their bed. We found it by smell. Is this normal boy behavior? Is it worth talking to his parents? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I would mention it to the parents, in a casual, hey wanted to let you know kind of way. My DS is only 3, but seems normal to me. If DS couldn't reach the potty, I think he would try to pee in a garbage can. But, what do I know about what is normal/ok at 5? [ Reply | More

he probably did it because he had to go very badly, perhaps didn't know where the bathroom was or someone else was using it. kids do weird things sometimes. [ Reply | More

My 5.5 yo has never (to my knowledge) pee'd in a garbage can. If he did, I'd want to know. In truth, I'd be disappointed if you did not tell us. This is the kind of thing my wife or I should know so we can deal with it. [ Reply | More
