So, even though the Anderson registration and picnic were very unorganized, I must say, it was a good first impression anyway. I am not going to blame it on A, I am blaming it on the DOE (not the picnic, but that was not really anyone;s fault, it was moved to the school cafeteria because of the threat of rain). I am really looking forward to the next 9 year there (hopefully more than that because I have a younger dc also). Call it a VBA or not, i don;t care. I am just really excited that A is dc's school. I thought it was a fine event, and our dc (and we) came away with a very positive feeling. DC "can't wait" for Kindergarten to begin. We're very excited also. Although clearly far more girls, I was glad to see there is some ethnic diversity in the incoming class. [ Reply | More

op: THANK YOU! Why is it that people can come on here and talk about the school they are at, but as soon as A parents start talking we are annoying, bragging, whatever? This is the only place I feel comfortable talking about these things with. Hopefully in the next few months i will know enough A parents IRL that I can ask them these questions.
