Burb moms: Moving to burbs w/ 18 mo dd from NYC...always let her eat lots of snacks while in stroller around city. Should I let her eat in the car? She's starting not to eat much at meals and expects to eat all her snacks while in stroller. Also somewhat worried about choking [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

eh, they don't need constant snacks. I give my 13 mo a gold fish or two when I put him in the carseat and a toy to hold. Just don't put them in the carseat when they are hungry. [ Reply | More ]

ITA. it's a bad habit. my 3yo DD expects to have something to eat in the car now. I'm working on breaking that as a habit, but it does entertain her! [ Reply | More ]

I made it a blanket rule that we do not eat or drink while in the car. Period. Moved to the burbs when DS was 18 mo. At 2.5 or so I let him have a straw cup in the car, but now at 3, still no food [ Reply | More ]
