7.5mo ds doesn't like green veggies (peas or green beans). he currently eats cereal and fruit for breakfast (apples, pears, peaches or bananas) and veggies for lunch/dinner (squash, carrot or sweet potato). any advice on trying to incorporate green veggies? TIA [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Mix them with one of the veggies he likes. Just a little bit at a time, gradually increasing. [ Reply | More ]

Just keep trying. You can vary what you're serving, or change recipes, or whatever, but the important thing is to keep offering it up. [ Reply | More ]

what do you mean delay the rest? only feed peas (and formula) for a whole day?? [ Reply | More ]

no, start the meal with the peas, when he's had a few bites of that, then bring out the stuff that he does like. [ Reply | More ]

well, i'm 39.7 years and i don't like green veggies much either. so, it's good to keep trying, but it might just be something he'll never take to easily, and you can get him started eating them when he's more reasonable/older. [ Reply | More ]

try giving real veggies as finger foods. soft cooked peas, pieces of string beans. my dd liked canned spinach in tiny bits she could pick up herself [ Reply | More ]

I've mixed with just about everything I think! (organic jars and containers; I don't make food.) pears, carrots, squash... db is less picky about veggies and more about "texture" foods, but I think the same principle works! [ Reply | More ]

I've tasted everything db eats and it's not as gross as it would seem! applesauce is good to mix, imo, and then we did yogurt later on with both fruits and veggies. [ Reply | More ]
