Yes. The Birthing Center at St.Luke's/Roosevelt Hospital was AMAZING! It was the site where Midwifery Svcs had priveleges when my daughter was born. Midwifery Svcs may or may not exist 6 yrs later- but I'm sure Sandra Woods CNM(Our primary pre-natal and fortunately our Delivery Midwife) is probably still helping deliver babies there. If there are concerns re complications, the Birthing Center at St. Luke's is ideal, as it's one floor [ Reply | More ]

So funny you-yes, friends. I delivered my daughter there. I hope t2 poster doesn't say that to Kimora Lee Simmons-Midwifery Svcs were her midwives too and she does nothing 2nd Class! She's 6'1" and would kick above's ass! hee. [ Reply | More ]

I planned to use the Birthing Center at Roosevelt, but dd didn't come by the required 41 weeks. Ended up induced (Cervidil only, as it kicked us into a fast labor) 10/11 days "overdue", in L&D at Roosevelt. Your midwife/caregiver is the most important thing, since you can't count on being able to deliver at the Birthing Center... [ Reply | More ]
