OMG OMG, DH is in a meeting in Topeka and there are tornado warnings in Kansas and every time I call the receptionist tells me that there is no tornado coming towards her and refuses to put my DH on the phone. I mean I need to talk to DH and tell him that he could be in danger and he needs to move the meeting to a basement. His cell phone is off and I've left 10 messages with teh receptionist! Are you sure she knows, I mean maybe she isn't prepared for this. I need to talk to my DH now so I can warn him so he won't be scared. If not he'll be huddled in a closet with otehrs worried and scared that he'll end up on top of a Chevy! [ Reply | More

I know they are in Kansas and from my experience a tornado could occur anywhere in a state. I mean I am really scared. After this meeting DH is flying home, what if the tornado hits his plane? [ Reply | More

No I mean when it is on the ground at the gate, the tornado will blow through the plane or what if it happens while DH is in the airport! Airports are dangerous places to begin with, with all the muggers. [ Reply | More

take a deep breath. You are really overreacting. Airports will ground flights if there is that danger. FYI, last summer there were tornado warnings in Connecticut and Westchester County (20 to 40 miles away), and no on panicked in NYC.... [ Reply | More
