How do I get 4 m/o to take a longer nap? Naps are only 45 minutes unless there is strolling or a car-ride involved. I'm not sure dc is getting enough sleep with a bunch of short naps. Any BTDT? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

my 10mo still only takes 45min-1 hr naps, unless he's been to the pool or otherwise been really exhausted. But he sleeps 12hrs at night so I'm not complaining. [ Reply | More ]

honestly, probably since he was about 4mo but he's just a sleeper. He still goes to bed by about 6:45pm every night. Most people I know have dbs who sleep more like 10hrs/night and then have at least one 2hr nap in the day. You can't always "fix" some stuff, its just the way they are [ Reply | More ]

I know, but I just cant understand why he would all of a sudden wake so much earlier when nothing about bedtime changed. HE is more of a 10 hr/night guy, but now his naps are messed up too. maybe thats why his nights are messed up. who knows [ Reply | More ]

yes, bdtd and thought I fixed it and now there again at 7.5 mo. basically, just try to stick to putting db down at consistent times in the crib, drowsy but awake, etc. May take a bit longer though, but with patience youwill get there. We got to a point where strolling and cars werent working either - it was a disaster [ Reply | More ]

That's all that DD did at that age. Then gradually increased to 1-2hrs. I think 45mins naps are fine for a 4mo old. [ Reply | More ]
