anyone have a sil that you truly can't stand? i really want to like her, but she makes it impossible...she's pushy, judgmental, presumptuous, and selfish. i feel stuck between my desire to confront her and my fear of making things worse. my dh never confronts her, and often excuses her so that complicates the situation. Listen- you're the mom. If you don't like that, then say so. If it's not harmful to dc & only happens a few times a year, can you manage to deal with it? plus, if she has already stayed with you & then you switch- your dislike becomes obvious. Alternately, you could work on yourself- and try to watch for the triggers and learn to step back when they happen. [ Reply | More
