my ds is moving from CTT 1st grade to a gen ed 2nd grade; there are two 2nd grades and one of them has the former gen ed teacher for the 2nd grade CTT class as its teacher so i thought that would be a perfect fit for him but the school put him in the other class ... he will continue w/OT,PT, & speech and I thought the other teacher - being familiar w/CTT kids would have a better understanding of where my son is coming from -- both literally & figuratively; Should I make a stink about this? I don't know much about the other teacher except that he is new to the school entirely and I think he's only been teaching for three years or so ... [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

On the one hand it'd be good to have the consistency, but on the other, it might be good to have him exposed to a new teaching sytle [ Reply | More ]

both teachers would be new to him and both are gen ed classrooms with gen ed teachers -- so the one teacher - though coming from a CTT classroom - wouldn't necessarily have anymore of a style he's accustomed to than the other teacher. [ Reply | More ]
