Both. But, but our expenses have increased with dc #1 starting school in the fall. I had an income while on maternity leave with #1 but I ended up cutting way back on work in the past 2 years and now I'm in this predicament. Dh really doesn't earn enough to be the sole provider. [ Reply | More

so I'm assuming ythis will be short term? Don't worry about it. This is why God invented credit cards. I am not advocating going hugely into debt but a few weeks and charging some extra stuff that won't get paid off for a few months is no big deal. Just enjoy that baby [ Reply | More

You can collect disability from the state for 6 weeks for a normal delivery and 8 weeks for a c-section. It's not a lot of money, but it is better than nothing. And now is a good time to sell stocks. Capital Gains tax rates are probably going up in the near future. [ Reply | More
