Girlfriend just diagnosed with stage 1A Ovarian cancer. Just had a hysterectomy and will have some chemo. Seems very survivable? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Why did she have a hysterectomy? Don't they usually leave the uterus for Ovarian cancer? Finding cancer in an early staged (Stage 1 is early) is a good sign. Ovarian is usually diagnosed much later on. She has a good chance of beating this! [ Reply | More

This is shocking. She had had fertility treatments and asked for the screening for years (Dr. is affiliated w/ major major med. institute). her Dr. fought her on it - said she was low risk despite the treatments - finally she insisted and the results were off the charts. [ Reply | More
