DS, 4, has dry skin on the corners of his mouth, both sides, that have open and bled a bit. Its annoying for him, but doesnt seem to bother him unless eating. No other symptoms, but wondering would this be coxsackie? Dont really look like sores... [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Sounds like a yeast infection. Not the gyn kind, the kind that people get on the corners of their mouths. [ Reply | More ]

Talk to a pharmacist. There is an OTC cream. Yeasts live on our skin normally. They love warm, wet areas. It isn't hard for the area around the mouth or nose to get infected. [ Reply | More ]
