Nanny started gradually in January full time in February. Happy with her. One babe. Makes 11 mo. old baby's food, on time. 50 hrs per week. But mostly a bit less with times she needs to leave early and vice versa. When is appropriate time for 1st raise? I don't want to get into a cycle of raise expectations every six months. Now pay 600/week plus metrocard. We did not discuss raises when she was hired. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I wouldn't raise more than once a year, except as circumstances change. You don't get a raise twice a year at your job (if you get raises at all). [ Reply | More ]
