2 year old having a birthday in July in small apt. Should I invite few friends or do a big thing at the park? (possible rain?) [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Does DC have any playmates? Invite them and their parents along with your own friends. I met two of my best friends that way. DD's nanny had struck up some park friendships and I invited the kids and their parents. 3 years later they're among our closest family friends. [ Reply | More ]

ideally you'd do it in the park, but in july it can either get REALLY hot or rain. i might try to do an indoor air conditioned place [ Reply | More ]

that might be nice but it will suck for the parents that have to stand there and melt. the food will also get disgusting fast. [ Reply | More ]

Yeah-- the humid and hot thing plus rain was stressful last summer... I was thinking few friends, and their little ones and play dough, crayons, balloons and cake from 10:30-12:00. The only thing is I feel bad for not inviting my single friends> what to do? [ Reply | More ]

your single friends do not want to go to a two yo bday party. get a babysitter and go out with them another night. [ Reply | More ]

personally I cannot stand having to go to a birthday party at 10:30 a.m. on a weekend. 2-4 is ideal. [ Reply | More ]
