Does anybody care about the ranking in the whole new york state? Anderson: No.1; LL: No. 9; Nest: No.21. I paid for getting this information. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

2006 was a bad year for some reason. also, ps9 shows reults for gen ed and G&T. wonder what it would be if looked at G&T only [ Reply | More

yes, I think this is the reason. Andeson, nest, LL are all G^T. BUT PS 9 is mixed. so it does not show up before 150. but no G^T data alone for PS9. [ Reply | More

I think Hunter HS is also not in the ranking because they don't take the Regents, like all other NY state public HS. They take some Regents - 2 science ones, I think - but not all the other ones. [ Reply | More

Hunter High kids only take Regents for Science and Foreign Languate. The school uses these tests in lieu of a final exam (easier) but not for use to get Regents diploma or rankings. [ Reply | More

It's online, NYS deparment of education posts all the info, though this year's test results are not published yet. Of course OP is making ridiculous comparisons since there is no other place besides Manhattan where schools get to pick 'gifted' kids in elementary grades so you are totally comparing apples to oranges. Is this ranking based on raw scores, or % of 1,2,3 and 4? Also bear in mind that some schools have special needs kids that may bring the score down. Scores aren't everything. [ Reply | More
