I think parents are turning down hunter for their boys because they just don't see it as a masculine option. the boys are sort of small, quiet and nerdy. If you have a masculine boy, go to anderson or go private. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

people are just not opting for hunter for their boys to the same extent as for their girls. I think the boys they choose tend to be small, unathletic, quiet and nerdy. If I had a masculine, outgoing or athletic boy, I would not send him there. anderson seems to have more active boyish boys. privates also. just my take on it. [ Reply | More ]

Oh geez. I'm not OR but you are way off. First, Hunter has onsite, so they weed out any boys with issues. Do you mean by Anderson boys who are out of control to be athletic? [ Reply | More ]

anderson boys seem more boyish. I said nothing about them being out of control. hunter boys are not most people's ideal of masculinity for their ds [ Reply | More ]

np. You make no sense. You claim Hunter picks these nerdy, unathletic boys, and you also imply the reason they've gone through their WL is because parents of active boys prefer other schools. Want to try that again? [ Reply | More ]

Okay. Let's try this again. Hunter supposedly admits nerdy, unathletic boys? And yet you also believe an entire WL's worth of parents have turned it down for their active boys? Do you not see the flaw in your logic? Think hard. [ Reply | More ]

OMG, how can a boy be "masculine" at age 4 and why do you care? At LL, we have all sorts of boys (at least before they went only by scores, the more recent classes are girl heavy). Some of the smallest boys are really athletic; some of the biggest are not sporty at all. [ Reply | More ]
