where should I deliver 2nd baby? want a private room, are there any LDR rooms in manhattan? I was on the wait list for a private room at Columbia for #1 and never got in. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Yup. If you want a decent shot at a private room, I suggest Beth Israel. But then you have to deliver at Beth Israel :) I did it - but it sure ain't pretty like at Cornell. (Though I found the postpartum nurses 100% better than Cornell) [ Reply | More ]

Cornell had wonderful delivery nurses. But postpartum nurses that were so awful that DH found me bleeding and unconscious on the floor of my bathroom - I remember buzzing and buzzing for help, no one showed up. (And I was in hospital for nearly two weeks - the surgical floor nurses turned out to be better than the postpartum nurses) [ Reply | More ]
